About us
BesitosTM is the creation of designer Wendy Susan Reategui Del Aguila. After working in the
fashion industry for over 15 years, Wendy became the mother of two beautiful amazing kids: son
Aiden and daughter Leila. She then decided to become a stay-at-home mom and finds her “new
role’ truly enjoyable. Wendy was inspired by her children’s spirit, and their delight at being
dressed in bright colorful outfits. Spending a lot of time with them enabled her to truly appreciate
how special children truly are. She feels that children should always be celebrated, cherished and
loved for their uniqueness and their spirit, “Children are a reflection of us parents, family and
friends, and it is through us that they develop their own sense of pride of who they are” Wendy
realized she wanted to somehow share this message and reminder to the world.





In 2007, when the kids were old enough to be in school, Wendy felt it was time to release her
creative talents. She noticed that there seemed to be a gap in the baby and children’s markets
that needed to he filled. She began drawing and developing a range of characters of little children
faces that touched upon the rainbow of culture that surrounded each child’s everyday life that
reflects on her own background.

Each little face was then turned into a hand cut little appliqué that could be sewn onto her designs.
Every piece could then be made into a one-of-a-kind image to depict the individuality of each child
in our lives. Wendy brought each little besitosTM face to life by giving each one of them a special
name that relates to their background and culture.

While born in Lima, Peru in South America, Wendy has made Southern California her home since
she was 11 years old, she credits her loving and adoring grandparents (Noe, a shoe maker, and
Petita, a skillful seamstress) for instilling in her a sense of beauty and style. As a child, Wendy
always had beautiful custom-made clothing and original designer shoes! No wonder, even at an
early age, she has cultivated her innate sense of flair for fashion and good design! And by the age
of 18, she was studying to become a fashion designer.

Wendy continues to develop the besitosTM collection, focusing on color, patterns, and design
with the hope of bringing something new to the on going children’s fashion industry. All besitosTM
products are hand made with love and care.


Besitos embraces the unique qualities of each child.
Little girls and boys come in all colors of the rainbow.
They express themselves freely sharing their love, laughter and imagination.
Besitos is inspired by children and uses color to celebrate their spirit.
